I was a journalist for many years and worked at the Daily Telegraph, before turning freelance. I have written a wide-ranging number of articles for the national press.

‘The World According to Cadbury’ was a successful magazine column for two years in Somerset Life. It has now been turned into an illustrated gift book, Small Dog, Large Thoughts: A Year with Cadbury, detailing the self-important thoughts of my spaniel over the course of a year in Somerset.

I grew up on a farm in the African bush surrounded by animals both wild and domestic, but now live in Somerset with my family, two characterful dogs and a confused cat.
